proenza schouler runway roadkill

New York's Olympus Fashion Week is in full force - having kicked off last Friday morning, and continuing through this Friday. Yesterday afternoon, one of my favorites, Proenza Schouler showed their Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear collection.

Although the show was pretty well reviewed, the highlight was when Elise Crombez blew it out and turned herself into a little bit of runway roadkill. She picked up her shoes, no doubt to the sound of applause, and continued down the catwalk. I obviously don't know Elise's shoe size, but I do know that the majority of models have feet that are several sizes bigger than the sample size shoes that the designers provide for their shows.

Here are some shots of the collection - very 80s, but with the Proenza Schouler sophistication that they've come to be known for.

I'm not sure what's up with Jack McCullough's leg cast, but it looks as though he obviously had a spill of some sort. Maybe he too, got caught up in some heels that were the wrong size...
