laura bennett runway show
On Friday morning, the remaining four designers on Project Runway showed their Spring 2007 Ready-to-Wear collections at the Bryant Park tents. Warning - if you follow the show, and don't want to see the collections in advance, you should definitely STOP READING NOW!
For the first two seasons, the final four have showed their collections - the top three designers, and then the designer who placed fourth - who is used as a decoy. They do this because the collections are shown several weeks prior to the finale - and they don't want everyone to know the final three before that episode has actually been aired.
The previews for that episode suggest that the format has been changed for this season, and that the judges were not set on a three designer finale. This means that there is a possibility that only two designers made it to Fashion Week - or that all four made it. The only one that I really care about, clearly - is Laura Bennett!
There's obviously no way to know if she was still in the running as of Friday, but her collection was HANDS DOWN, the absolute best. Flawless! Seriously, I love love love her collection - particularly the slate grey dress with the beading and green/gold velvet belt, and the nude turtlneck dress with the beading. Each of her pieces were gorgeous and just dripping with that Laura Bennett glamour and sophistication.
