us open 2006 - part one

I'm not sure how many of you have been watching the US Open, but it has pretty much been the only thing playing at our house. Last night's match between Andre Agassi and Marcos Baghdatis was incredible - the most exciting tennis match that I can recall in recent years. My only question is - how can Baghdatis be a highly ranked professional tennis player, and still be kind of a fat ass? Have you seen him lift up his shirt? It's truly unfortunate.

As soon as
the publish the play schedule for the weekend, we're going to order tickets to see Andre play
Benjamin Becker in round 3.

Meanwhile, how much do I love that perpetual über-cunt, Martina Hingis got booted in straight sets yesterday - and by some unseeded frenchwoman, nontheless! Pretty hilarious if you ask me - but then, I've always hated Martina Hingis and her ugly pinched little face.

Despite the nasty weather, there has been some really great tennis so far. Agassi's round one match against Andrei Pavel was also exciting. Rafael Nadal also had a great match yesterday when he played some Peruvian guy - and then of course there's Roger Federer who just steamrolls his way through - easily advancing to the third round earlier today. Sadly, I have a feeling that the next couple of days might be completely rained out...
