dermatologically impaired

The stars came out last night to the Beverly Hilton Hotel for the 21st Annual American Cinematheque Awards presentation. According to the press release, The American Cinematheque Award is presented annually to an extraordinary artist currently making a significant contribution to the art of the Moving Picture... blah blah blah. This year the award was presented (by Julia Roberts) to George Clooney.

Now, I adore Julia Roberts and I'm glad to see that she is once again taking pride in her appearance - as opposed to her hot mess of an alter ego (see below). However, could someone please explain the hideous growth on her breast? I mean, they're called dermatologists, Jules - and they're in the book.
